Steven Lavoie , self-employed and owner, has over 25 years of experience in general construction and customer service. In 2019, looking for a new challenge, he and his team created HSL Inc., specializing in the sale, installation and repair of residential, commercial and industrial fences.

In 2025, the company took a new step with a rebranding: HSL became Fortis . This new name, inspired by the Latin meaning "strong, solid, robust," perfectly embodies the company's values—strength, durability, and reliability—while aligning with its area of expertise. Fortis represents a protective and resilient structure, guaranteeing customers solutions that are both efficient and secure. This evolution reflects the company's growth and maturity while remaining true to its commitment to quality, expertise, and personalized service.

In this new phase, Fortis becomes a true family business with the arrival of René-Pier, Steven's son. His dynamism and innovative vision enrich its proven expertise, enabling the company to combine experience and modernity to offer services even better adapted to market demands.
